3 Carefully wipe the backup battery (lithium

battery) with a dry cloth before inserting it with

the plus (+) side up as shown in the diagram.

4 Push the lithium battery in the direction shown

by the arrow to hook it.

5 Close the backup battery cover and tighten

the screws.

Removing the battery

1 Open the backup battery cover and use a

ballpoint pen or other sharp object to remove

the backup battery (lithium battery).

2 Close the backup battery cover and tighten

the screws.
