• The “M” indicator appears in the upper left of the display

when there is any value other than zero stored in

independent memory.

• Independent memory contents are maintained even if you

press the A key, change the calculation mode, or turn

off the calculator.

under “Clearing Independent Memory” before performing

this example.

Example: 23 + 9 = 32 23+9m

53 – 6 = 47 53-6m

A Clearing Independent Memory

• This clears independent memory and causes the “M”

indicator to disappear from the display.
